Phillies Hire Joe Jordan as Player-Development Director
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - After a dismal end to an auspicious season, the Phillies have filled an opening in the front office, hiring Joe Jordan as their new director of player development.
Jordan spent the last seven season serving as the Baltimore Orioles' director of amateur scouting. Prior to that he served in a variety of capacities with the Montreal Expos and the Florida Marlins.
Jordan would fill the opening in player development left in the Phillies' front office when Chuck LaMar resigned during the season.
