Phillies Have Four Of The 50 Highest Paid US Athletes

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Sports Illustrated released their "Fortunate 50" for this year, a list of the highest paid US athletes, and Philadelphia has four members of the club. More specifically, the Phillies have four members of the club.
Cliff Lee comes in at #17, Ryan Howard at #25, Roy Halladay at #39, and Cole Hamels at #44.
The rankings include both salary and endorsement earnings. Lee is making $25,280,000 this year, Ryan Howard $23,200,000, Roy Halladay $20,210,000 and Hamels at $19,900,000.
There is not a member of the Sixers, Flyers or Eagles on the list.
The Yankees have five members of the Fortunate 50, and the Dodgers have four.
Boxer Floyd "Money" Mayweather tops the list at $90,000,000, followed by Lebron James, Drew Brees, Kobe Bryant and Tiger Woods rounding out the top five.
Candidates from the list must either be US Citizens or play for a US team.
