Phillies Arrive In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - After spending about a month and a half in Florida, the Phillies are back in town. The team arrived in Philadelphia last night. They're getting ready for a pair of exhibition games at Citizens Bank Park tonight and tomorrow before the regular season kicks off Monday (see related story).
Three buses, carrying the 2013 Philadelphia Phillies, arrived at Citizens Bank Park to about a dozen dedicated fans like Mike, whose high hopes are still intact.
"World Series or bust man. I think the window is still open."
On Mike's side, Phils skipper Charlie Manuel, who says, "We've got guys on our team that's won before. We've been in close games and we've won and we're healthy. I think if we play the best baseball for 162 games, I think we're gonna do it."
Manuel says the Clearwater crowds were always big, but there's nothing like being back in South Philadelphia.
"Our fans are the best fans in baseball. And we look forward to being home and we're very happy the season's getting underway."
And team President David Montgomery says the exhibition games against the Blue Jays are a chance to bring a taste of spring and summer back to Philadelphia.
"We've always had a real solid weekend for this On Deck series. It's a great opportunity for all of us to sort of get the kinks out to reopen Citizens Bank Park and prepare it for baseball once again."
