Phillies' Announcer Scott Franzke Keeping His Head in The Game
He's quickly becoming the voice of sports history in Philadelphia.
"A swing, and a dribbler out in front of the plate! Ruiz out to get it. The throw from his knees! It's in time! And it's a no-hitter!"
Phillies' radio play-by-play announcer Scott Franzke (above) has been behind the microphone for two World Series, a perfect game, and now a post-season no-hitter.

He tells KYW's Harry Donahue that the secret to capturing history as it happens is simply to describe what you see:
"When Roy Halladay is pitching, I just try to, as best I can, keep it straight and just stay with the play. Because otherwise, I'm going to be saying something silly and I'll be behind the play. So I just try to stay, basically, with the basics."
In only five seasons with the Phils, Franzke says he's lucky to have called so much history in such a short time.
