Phillies Activate Utley From DL
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Chase Utley has been activated from the disabled list and will be batting second for the Philadelphia Phillies against the New York Mets on Friday night.
Utley had been sidelined since May 23 because of an oblique strain. He's batting .272 with seven homers and 25 RBIs.
Martinez was 0 for 4.
With Utley's return, manager Charlie Manuel has his regular starting eight in the lineup together for just the fourth time this season.
