Phillie Phanatic Named 2nd Best Mascot In Sports, Behind Mr. Met

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Forbes is releasing its ranking of the best mascots in sports, and it says the Phillie Phanatic is number two. And, brace yourself Phillies fans, Mr. Met is number one.
A guy with a baseball on his head. That's how Phillies fans here describe Mr. Met, and when asked to compare Mr. Met and the Phillie Phanatic, they don't even know where to start.
"There is no comparison, there is none, it's like a Cadillac and a Yugo, there is no comparison."
"You picked a baseball, that's like putting a football out in the NFL and putting a hat on the football and two legs and two arms. It's nothing. Mr. Met's nothing."
Forbes puts out the list with help from an index that measures star and marketing power of celebrities. The Chicago Bulls Benny the Bull is number 3, followed by the San Diego Chicken, and the Red Sox Green Monster rounds out the top 5.
