Philadelphia Woman Sentenced To Life Plus 10 Years For 2004 Firebombing
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia woman has been sentenced to life in prison plus ten years for her role in a 2004 firebombing that killed six members of a federal witness's family.
Kidada Savage, 31, of Philadelphia, is the sister of Kaboni Savage, who ordered the firebombing and was sentenced to death for 12 counts of murder in aid of racketeering (see previous story).
Authorities say Kidada Savage acted on behalf of her brother, who was in federal custody awaiting a drug trial, and recruited Lamont Lewis to commit the firebombing.
Kidada Savage was convicted back in May 2013 of six counts of murder in aid of racketeering related to the firebombing of Eugene Coleman's home.
Coleman was a federal witness at the time, and six people – including four children – were killed in the firebombing.
Robert Merritt was convicted on racketeering charges and is awaiting sentencing.
Steven Northington was also convicted in the case and was sentenced to life.
