Philadelphia Union To Reportedly Sell Sebastien Le Toux To UK Team Bolton
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Sebastien Le Toux, Philadelphia Union's biggest star for their first two seasons, is going to be sold to the UK team Bolton, according to Fox's Ives Garlecep.
Le Toux , Union's career leader in both goals and assists, is reportedly already in England preparing to play with his new team, according to a tweet from Le Toux.
Garlecep, who first tweeted the news earlier this afternoon, suggests that Le Toux's departure frees up money and makes it more likely that the team will be able to keep forward Danny Mwanga.
The team has denied that the deal is done.
It's been a busy week for the Union, who selected three players in the MLS Superdraft on January 12th (Chandler Hoffman, Greg Jordan and Raymon Gaddis), selected four players in the MLS Supplemental Draft on the 17th (Thomas Brandt, Krystian Witkowski, Antoine Hoppenot, and Brandon Zimmerman), and declined options on four players today (Levi Houapeu, Morgan Langley, Ryan Richter and Joe Tait), before the news about Le Toux was made public.
