Philadelphia Soul To Hold Open Tryouts

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Do you have dreams of throwing on the pads and a jersey and representing the City of Brotherly Love on the gridiron? Here is your chance.

The Philadelphia Soul will be holding the first of two open tryouts for the roster on Saturday, October 18th. The tryout will serve to find the diamonds in the rough that our area has to offer.

The event will take place at the Eagles' Novacare Complex which should be plenty open considering the Eagles are resting up and enjoying the bye week.

Players who attend the tryout will be tested on the 40-yard dash, the broad jump and the short shuttle. It will also consist of position specific drills and some one-on-one sequences.

If you happen to be in the Dallas area anytime soon, the Soul will be holding another tryout at Parish Episcopal High School in Dallas, TX on November 8th.
