Philadelphia Ranked 14th Best Ice Cream City In The Country
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – With another dreaded heat wave underway in Philadelphia, it's comforting to know that we live in one of the best American cities for ice cream.
That's according to Travel + Leisure, which ranked the City of Brotherly Love 14th in the nation for the cold treat.

While the article cites Franklin Fountain's "nostalgic flavors" and Capogiro's National Geographic-ranked "Best Ice Cream in the World," it fails to mention a few newbie favorites, such as the lovably wacky Little Baby's or roving truck Zsa's. And there's nothing about another Philly standby, Scoop DeVille, which just moved shop in Center City.
So, what places beat out Philadelphia's cold treats? Savannah, GA came in first for its old school ice cream, followed by Providence and Nashville.
