Philadelphia Police Seek Assistance In Locating Carjacking, Robbery Suspects

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are searching for a man and woman involved in a carjacking and robbery Sunday morning.

A little before 5 a.m., police say the male suspect approached two men sitting in their car at a WAWA located in the 4000 block of Castor Avenue. The suspect reportedly asked for a ride and when the driver refused, the suspect pointed a handgun at them and demanded their property, police said.

The suspect took the victims' phones, jewelry, jacket and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing North on Castor Avenue in the victim's 1996 dark blue Toyota Corolla, according to authorities.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 25-27 years of age, 5'10" – 6' and 200 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing and dark-colored sweatpants.

His female companion is described as Hispanic, about 25 year old, weighing 115 lbs and was last seen wearing a dark gray jacket and blue jeans.
