PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police and the FBI are asking for the public's help identifying and locating a man they say robbed a bank in Mayfair on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the man entered the PNC Bank at 6855 Frankford Avenue just before 3 p.m. He waited in line before approaching the teller and demanding money. After being threatened, the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the man left, possibly in a white van.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, about 6' tall, with a medium to stocky build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a zipper in the front and blue jeans. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information is urged to call Philadelphia Police or the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to the suspect's capture, and tips can be made anonymously.
