Philadelphia Police Searching For North Philadelphia Bank Robber

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police and the FBI are looking for the man who robbed the Bank of America branch on North Broad Street Tuesday in North Philadelphia. They believe he is the same man who robbed another bank last week just a block away.
Investigators say the man walked into the Bank of America at 1600 North Broad Street near Oxford, handed a threatening note to the teller demanding cash, and then ran out when the teller handed him an undisclosed amount of money.
Comparing bank surveillance photos, they now believe this is the same guy who robbed the United Bank of Philadelphia at 1500 N. Broad Street, located only a block away, last Friday.
The bandit is described as an African-American male in his 40s, about 5'10" tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
They say he has a light complexion and was wearing glasses.
In the Bank of America robbery Tuesday, he was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue Nike baseball cap.
