Philadelphia Police Search For Second Suspect In Officer Walker's Murder
By Tim Jimenez
Philadelphia (CBS) - A week ago, Philadelphia police officer Moses Walker Junior was gunned down on his way home from work. One suspect has been charged with murder but police are still looking for the second suspect.
As Rafael Jones, the alleged gunman charged with killing Officer Walker, is in police custody, authorities are on the hunt for the man who they say was with him; 19-year-old Chancier McFarland, according to Homicide Captain James Clark.
"I want to stress that he is considered armed and extremely dangerous."
McFarland is described as 5-11, 180 pounds and from the 1400 block of North 23rd Street. Clark says he's expected to face similar murder, robbery and weapons charges that Jones is facing.
And as Officer Walker's family prepares for his funeral, Commissioner Ramsey says he spoke with a relative on at least one suspect in custody.
"He was elated that charges had been brought forward. But they also know that we have one more person to bring into custody so we aren't finished yet."
