Philadelphia Police Release Video Of Suspect In South Philadelphia Sexual Assault

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a suspect wanted for a home invasion and sexual assault in Philadelphia's Point Breeze neighborhood.

Police say a 35-year-old victim was asleep in her home on South Rosewood Street around 5:30am on Monday morning when she was woken up by a man standing over her bed.

Police say the suspect placed his hand over the victim's mouth and demanded money.

According to police, the suspect sexually assaulted the woman, robbed her of $10, and took her car and house keys before fleeing.

Police say the suspect is a black male, between 20 and 30 years of age, and between 6'0" - 6'2".

Authorities describe him as having a medium build, and say at the time of the assault he was wearing a mask, wool hat, black pants, black long-sleeved zip up jacket or sweatshirt and red gloves.
