Philadelphia Police Investigate Brazen West Oak Lane Rite Aid Robbery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are expected to release surveillance video from a weekend Rite Aid robbery.
"It's frightening, I was hoping it wasn't in my own backyard, but it is," said Pearcie Harris of West Oak Lane
On one hand customers who heard about the Rite Aid robbery in West Oak Lane are shocked; but some say they understand why the store and others like it, have become easy targets.
"I'm somewhat surprised, but due to the climate and crime in Philadelphia, it's almost expected," said Joseph Davis of Mt. Airy. "People are resorting to whatever they have to do."
Philadelphia Police are trying to catch the three men who stormed into this Rite Aid Sunday night with guns, demanding cash and hand cuffing several employees who were preparing to close.
"Seems thought out to me," said Davis.
If you go inside today, you wouldn't know there was a robbery over the weekend.
"It's business as usual," said one customer as she was walking out of the store.

A Rite Aid Spokeperson says they are cooperating with authorities--who are currently reviewing surveillance video of the three men who got away.
"Whoever those guys are they better give themselves up," said Jerry Gaboton, who frequents the Rite Aid.
"I'm glad we weren't there yesterday, and I'm glad no one was hurt," said Davis.
