Philadelphia Police Lieutenant Shot During Scuffle At CVS Released From Hospital
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Tuesday was a milestone for a Philadelphia police officer who was shot while off-duty. Lieutenant Robert Friel was released from Jefferson Hospital in Center City.
Friel was shot in the leg back on May 29, after having a scuffle with a man at the CVS on 10th and Reed Streets in South Philadelphia.
The 28-year veteran of the force thanked the medical staff at Jefferson and his fellow police officers for their support.
