Police: Dirt Bike Slams Into Minivan In Hunting Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The driver of a dirt bike and two small children were injured Friday evening when the bike slammed into a minivan in the city's Hunting Park section, according to authorities.
The accident happened at about 7 p.m. near Butler Street and Park Avenue. Witnesses say the bike never slowed down before slamming into the van. Authorities say two small children who were in the vehicle were cut by shattered glass.
The unidentified biker was taken to Temple University Hospital with injuries to the head, back and neck.
Philadelphia Police have been asking for the public's help in cracking down on illegal ATVs and dirt bikes which are a hazard on city streets.
Police are asking anyone who sees illegal dirt bikes or ATVs riding in the area to text "PPDTIP" or email tips@PhillyPolice.com.
