Philadelphia Police, FBI Searching For Serial Bank Robber
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are searching for a serial bank robber suspected of hitting the same location three times in four months.
Police say that during each incident, the suspect has targeted the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union branch at 7604 City Avenue in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia.
He then presents a demanding not to the tellers and gestures that he has a gun, though no weapon has been physically displayed.
The most recent incident occurred on Oct. 31, and the suspect ended up fleeing the scene empty-handed.
Police believe the same person is responsible for robberies at the PFFCU on July 1 and July 29 of this year, when he obtained cash and again fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-30s who is about 6'-6'2" tall with a medium build, a scraggly goatee and a medium to dark complexion. He may have acne scars or bumps on his face.
In each robbery, the suspect has worn a hat, including a black baseball cap with unknown white writing, a dark-colored flat cap, and a black Chicago White Sox baseball cap with white "Sox" lettering.

A reward may be offered by law enforcement upon the arrest of the individual, and the PFFCU is also offering a $5,000 reward.
