Philadelphia Police Apprehend Alleged 17-Year-Old Shooter In SEPTA Armed Robbery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a young man from southwest Philadelphia on SEPTA's Broad Street line Saturday afternoon.
Twenty-two year-old Dekarr Henderson was shot in the back of the head around 3:30 Saturday afternoon on the northbound subway platform in the 2200 block of north Broad Street (see related story). Philadelphia police say the suspect stole Henderson's iPhone at gunpoint on the street, then followed the victim into the subway station.
Late yesterday, police arrested a 17 year-old from North Philadelphia; they're not releasing his name because he's a juvenile.
Dekarr Henderson was released from Temple University Hospital today.
