Philadelphia Jumps To 25th Worst City For Allergy Sufferers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia has moved up on a national list of the worst cities for allergy sufferers.
Philadelphia is now 25 out of the top 100 worst cities for allergy suffers -- that's up five places from last year.
Officials at the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America looked at pollen scores, the number allergy medications prescribed per patient and the number of specialists per patient. Dr. Albert Rohr, chief of allergy at Bryn Mawr Hospital, says allergy season started later because of the cold but it'll be here for a while.
"Last year was a pretty strong year, so I think it will probably be similar in strength but different in timing. It'll be later and go longer."
He expects molds to be a big problem, once the warmer temperatures take hold.
