Philadelphia's Food Trust Holds Its First ''Night Market'' Street Fair of 2012

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia-based nutrition advocacy group is hosting its first "night market" of the season tonight, in Northern Liberties.
The Night Markets are organized by The Food Trust.
Tonight's, which runs 7-11pm tonight on North 2nd Street between Fairmount and Germantown Avenues, boasts more than 50 vendors and is expected to attract thousands of people.
Food Trust night market coordinator Diana Iskolsky Minkus (above) says the Night Markets are not your typical street fair.
"We didn't want it to be your typical festival food event, so you're not going to find funnel cakes and chicken fingers," she tells KYW Newsradio. "We really wanted to focus on the high quality food that we have in the city -- and there's a new craze now with a lot of these food trucks."
She says there will also be local crafts and music, but food will be predominantly featured.
"We have a huge, eclectic multi-ethnic group of vendors, so come hungry," she says.
