Philadelphia Makes Fodor's Travel Go List, Highlighting 25 Spots Around The World To Visit In 2016

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As we celebrate the holidays and look forward to a new year, yet another accolade for Philadelphia. A leading name in travel recommendations says it's one of the best destinations to visit - or revisit - in 2016.
The editorial team at Fodor's Travel highlights what it calls 25 can't miss spots around the world, from the opulent beauty in Abu Dhabi to its top destination for the year: Utah, including the ski and snowboard resort Park City.
Philadelphia is one of six U.S. destinations it names. Fodor's notes the host of next year's Democratic National Convention "is a great weekend getaway for history lovers, foodies, and families."
The Fodor's Go List spans six continents and 20 countries.
SmarterTravel also recently published "12 Destinations That Should Be on Your Radar in 2016," and Philadelphia was second on that list.
At the beginning of 2015, the New York Times picked Philadelphia as the No. 3 spot of 52 favorites, just behind Milan, Italy and Cuba, and in front of Yellowstone National Park.
