Flyers Charities Donate $400,000 To Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation To Help Build Outdoor Hockey Rink In Kensington
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Flyers are helping kids get a chance to play hockey. The Flyers charities donated $400,000 to the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center.
The money will go towards an outdoor street hockey rink at the Scanlon Rec Center in Kensington.
The project will also help refurbish the existing playground, and build a new, all-purpose sports wall.
