Philadelphia Eagles Week 7 Injury Report: Bennie Logan Questionable
By Kevin McGuire
Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Bennie Logan was held out of practice all week, but there is still a chance he may line up against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday afternoon in Lincoln Financial Field. Logan is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the last undefeated team in the NFL.
Logan a Game-Time Decision; Cox and McKelvin Also Questionable
The Eagles may or may not be without a handful of starting players this weekend against the best team in the league. Logan continued to be out all week as he recovers from a groin injury. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson opted to keep the door open just in case he feels good on Sunday, but for now the team will proceed with caution and allow him to get back in the mix when he feels comfortable. Pederson said the Eagles will make a decision on Logan's availability on game day. If Logan is deemed unavailable on Sunday, the Eagles will send Beau Allen for another start, his third of the season. Allen played well last week, with Pederson even singling him out as one of the few bright spots in a loss to Washington.
The Eagles also listed linebacker Mychal Kendricks and cornerback Leodis McKelvin as questionable this week. McKelvin continues to be bothered by a hamstring injury that has been nagging him for a few weeks now (McKelvin was out of last week's game as a result). McKelvin may be ready to go soon, even if he has to miss this weekend's game against Sam Bradford and a potentially challenging Minnesota passing game. McKelvin participated in full practices all week, which is surely a good sign for the Eagles secondary. If McKelvin does play, that should put Jalen Ramsey back on the sideline awaiting his next opportunity to contribute.
Kendricks (ribs) was limited in practice on Wednesday, but has put together two full practices the rest of the week. Though listed as questionable, it seems like a decent possibility he will play on Sunday. Cornerback Ron Brooks (calf) also missed practice on Wednesday, was limited on Thursday and available for a full practice on Friday. His status is also listed as questionable.
Allen Barbre (ankle), Jason Kelce (foot), Jordan Matthews (knee), Rodney McLeod (shoulder) and Marcus Smith (groin) are all expected to be available.
Vikings Injury Report At a Glance
The Vikings could be without key defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd for a few weeks, including this weekend against the Eagles. Floyd's knee has left him out of practice all week and the Vikings have officially ruled him out for this weekend. The team has also ruled out tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee/ankle) and listed young wide receivers Laquon Treadwell (thumb) and Stefon Diggs (groin) as questionable. Diggs was available for a full practice on Friday, but Treadwell was limited. Both have the ability to break a big play at almost any moment if Bradford gets locked in on them, so their absence would be a blow to the Vikings' passing game. Another wide receiver, Jarius Wright (ankle), is also listed as doubtful.
