Eagles OT Charged With Reckless Driving And Disorderly Conduct In Nashville
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police in Nashville, Tennessee arrested Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle King Dunlap Friday evening for reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
Authorities say Dunlap drove his 2004 Cadillac Escalade onto the plaza area of Bridgestone Arena where there were hundreds of SEC Women's Basketball fans nearby.
The Nashville native reportedly parked the SUV near the front door of the arena a little after 5 p.m. Authorities say when officers confronted Dunlap about his actions, he replied that he was there to pick up his disabled father.
The officers say they told Dunlap that motorists were not allowed to drive onto the plaza and that he would have to move his vehicle and wait in a no parking zone nearby. The police on duty also offered to assist Dunlap with his father, authorities say.
Dunlap allegedly refused to move his vehicle after a final warning. He was arrested without incident. His bail is set at $1,000.
A spokesperson for the Eagles says they are aware of the report and declined to comment.
