Three cars -- a black Nissan Altima, a white Nissan Rouge and BMW -- were involved in the crash, police said.

Authorities said the black Nissan Altima, which was driven by an Uber driver, was heading southbound on Kelly Drive and made an "illegal left turn" onto Reservoir Drive as traffic moved northbound, which caused the crash.

Police said the white Nissan Rouge struck the black Nissan Altima as it made the turn. As a result, the Nissan Altima spun and hit the BMW that was coming onto Kelly Drive, according to police.

The 41-year-old man who died was a passenger inside the Nissan Altima. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 4:02 p.m., according to police.

The driver of the Nissan Altima, a 45-year-old man, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported in the crash, police said.

The crash is under investigation.
