Philadelphia Corporation For Aging Helping Seniors
About 117,000 Philadelphia seniors are truly poor, meaning they can't afford one or more of their basic needs: food, shelter, heat, medicine or access to health care. According to the Public Health Management Corporation -- more than 17,000 seniors skipped meals over a 12-month period because they didn't have the money for food. This is unacceptable and it's where the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging comes in.
