Radio Report:
Executive director, Peter Gistelinck says Barber has local connections:
"He is a Curtis graduate and one of his very known and extremely beautiful works is Adagio for Strings that we probably all know, a work that he had written in 1906 and a work that was featured in many movies."
The evening will also include solos on the oboe and cello. The concerts are November 14th and 15th at the Kimmel Center and on the 16th at the Temple Performing Arts Center.
