Philadelphia Auto Show Gets Rolling At Pennsylvania Convention Center
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In the market for a hybrid? How about a muscle car? Or maybe a 4X4 to get you through winter? All of that and more is on the floor of the Pennsylvania Convention Center for the 2016 Philadelphia Auto Show.
This is one of the largest showrooms in the country as just about every brand imaginable is under one roof. Everybody has different things to look for and their own reasons for coming.
"For me it's kind of performance," said one visitor. "I like if they go fast."
"I've had BMWs, so I like those," said another. "I'm interested in looking at the Jaguar and the Porsche."

Saul Rifkin was one of the first people inside when the doors opened Saturday morning. He was browsing with a purpose.
"This is a great place for me to check out all the brands, or the brands that I particularly like," he said. "My wife is also looking for a car soon, so I'm going to be doing some research here."

Executive director Kevin Mazzucola said at lot of visitors are here for the same reasons as Saul.
"Forty percent of people that come to the show are going to be buying a vehicle in the next 12 months," he said, "so that's an important figure for them."
Mazzucola says this is all about manufacturers putting their best foot forward.
"There's information gathering, but there's no selling," he said. "And that's why they're here, because people do make a decision based on what they see."
