Philadelphia-Area Shoppers Looking For That Perfect 'Dad' Gift
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - With Father's Day is just a day and a half away, the rush is on at area stores to find the perfect gift.
A Best Buy store in South Philadelphia was busy today. Thelma -- who didn't want to be photographed for fear of tipping off Dad -- says she's going high tech.
"Things for computers, and things for Kodachromes and the transference of Kodachromes to disk," she told KYW Newsradio.
Sales associate Ray Vidot (above) had some advice for shoppers who didn't know what to get for Dad.
"Tablets are getting very popular. Now the question is, which one to get your dad? A lot of Dads like to watch their sports videos -- those web sites are Flash-based, so this tablet would already be able to handle that. A great Father's Day gift because he could just take it around, do Facebook, he could check his e-mail," he said.
But if you can't afford a tablet computer or a big-screen TV, says Vidot, "We also have all the superhero movies on sale -- and they also give you some coupons to go to the movies."
