Philadelphia Area Gets Its First Look At Romney's Running Mate

WEST CHESTER, Pa (CBS) -- The Philadelphia area will get its first look on Tuesday at Mitt Romney's running mate. Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan will make two stops in Pennsylvania, a key swing state in the upcoming election.
Ryan will move from west to east starting with a stop in Carnegie, near Pittsburgh, and then attending what's being billed by Republican Party leaders as a victory rally in West Chester. Ryan will talk to voters at the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center.
"It's tremendous," says Chester County Republican Committee Chairman Val DiGiorgio. "For our volunteers and committee people, it gives them such a boost to know that Chester County is so important to the election of Governor Romney."
DiGiorgio says Chester County has been consistently touted as one of the ten most important counties for Romney to do well in.
He says their call centers and their door to door efforts have resulted in Chester County leading the country in voter contact for the Romney-Ryan ticket. The message he expects to hear -- that they have a plan to pull America out of its economic doldrums.
