Philadelphia Area Disabled Vets Get Advice, Assistance From Rolling Help Center

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Disabled American Veterans parked one of its vans in West Philadelphia today, offering help to veterans in need.
It's not always possible for veterans to get to the DAV, so workers in a van go to those in need.
Today, they were near 41st and Baltimore Avenue in West Philly.
Jeff Petherbridge, a national service officer, says the men and women who have served this country get the help they need for free.
"Anything that has to do with VA benefits -- it can be for a VA home loan, it could be any new laws that just passed," he tells KYW Newsradio.
Ralph Hughes stopped by because some of the paperwork for benefits can be confusing.
"I'm trying to reopen my disability claim," he said today. "All the other places are far out, but I got a letter they'd be close by, and that's why I stopped here."
On Thursday, the DAV van will stop at 1000 Meadow Lane, in Chester, Pa.
