It's hard to believe it's been 13 years since the devastating 9/11 attacks. In the Philadelphia area, there are a number of memorial events happening on Patriot Day where you can reflect and remember those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.

9-11 Memorial Garden of Reflection

Stop by the tranquil Garden of Reflection in Bucks County for the annual tolling of the bell at 8:15 a.m., music until 4 p.m. and a 7 p.m. candlelight ceremony where the victims' names will be read aloud, along with prayers and songs.
'Merica Burger

First responders (law enforcement, firefighters, EMS) with their badges or in uniform will receive a free burger and fries on 9/11. Pudge's 'Merica Burger features a burger with a grilled hot dog, bacon, American cheese, and Duff's special 'Merica sauce on a soft potato bun, with pickles, a side of golden fries and a soft drink. All other Pudge's customers are welcome to try the 'Merica burger with fries and a drink for $9.11. First responders must be in uniform or bring a current badge or identification.

The public can join in the ceremony at Chestnut Branch Park in honor of Gloucester County residents John Rodak, Nicholas W. Brandemarti, Perry Thompson, and all of those who lost their lives during the attack on America on September 11, 2001.

The Medford Lakes Borough Council will hold a service at the Sept. 11 Memorial, which includes a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.

Somers Point will host its annual September 11th Remembrance Ceremony, where a wreath will be laid to honor firefighters and first responders. The bells will toll at 8:46 a.m. and 9:02 a.m., AmVets Post 911 Honor Guard will present the Colors, accompanied by bagpipers, Taps and a gun salute.

Pennsauken will pay tribute to those who died in the September 11th attacks by placing 2,997 American flags at the town's 9/11 Memorial.
Salem County 9/11 Memorial Park

Last year, this Salem County park unveiled a permanent installation, a section of steel that came from the South Tower. The two 11-foot pieces were erected to look like the World Trade Center, and the community will keep that tradition going by doing it again this year at its annual 9/11 ceremony.
