PGW Launches Program To Help Customers Become More Energy Efficient

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Gas Works is launching a new program aimed at helping customers become more energy efficient.
PGW started EnergySense in 2011.
It's a series of programs, rebates and financial incentives designed to help customers conserve energy and save money.
Elliot Gold says,"Those energy savings are equivalent to planting 10.3 million million new trees."
Now PGW is adding a new component to EnergySense program.
"We are providing on a limited basis to select Philadelphia residents free thermal imagery reports of their property. these thermal energy reports provide information on where they're leaking energy and what the opportunities might be to address those energy leaks," says Gold.
Christine Schwarz and her husband Charles tested out the new thermal energy report.
Christine says, "We wanted to be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer and that absolutely is the case, we could not be more pleased."
In addition to the thermal reports PGW is offering a $500 limited time rebate to all customers who complete comprehensive energy sense home rebate projects.
