Person Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Amtrak has confirmed that an Amtrak Express train struck a 60-year-old Philadelphia man at 6:30 Tuesday morning about a half mile north of the Holmesburg train station.
No one aboard the train was hurt.
Amtrak is not releasing information on the identity of the person who was struck, but Amtrak police confirm that the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Amtrak says all Amtrak and SEPTA trains are operating normally once again with some residual delays in the Northeast Corridor area.
