People Take Advantage Of Spring-Like Christmas Temps
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - As we surged above normal temperatures Christmas day, many people in Philadelphia spent the holiday outdoors.
"Can this really be December?" asks May Schwartz, who says the weather reminded her of being in Florida.
People were in shorts and t-shirts and lots of children were out enjoying their new toys.
Many took advantage of the temps -- which reached the high 60's -- by walking, jogging and looking to have lunch outdoors.
Outdoor seating in Rittenhouse was a hot commodity. Parc restaurant manager Carol Serena says this was a surprise:
"Did I count on another 88 to 100 seats outside last year? Absolutely not. This is a gift in so many ways."
Rain did make an appearance later in the day.
