Pennsylvania Table Games Revenue Up 8.9 Percent In April
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Gambling regulators say gross revenue from table games at Pennsylvania's 11 casinos was up 8.9 percent last month when compared to April 2012.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board says table games generated $61.6 million last month. That's up from $56.5 million during the same period the year before.
Earlier this this month, the board reported gross revenue from slot machines was down 4 percent in April, the fifth straight month of slots declines. When slots and tables revenues are combined, total gaming revenues were down slightly in April to $266.7 million.
The state's first casino opened with slot machines in 2006. Table games were introduced in 2010 and Pennsylvania has grown into the nation's second-largest gambling market behind Las Vegas.
