Pennsylvania Senators Doing Well According To New Public Opinion Poll
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Pennsylvania's two senators fare relatively well in a new public opinion poll on their performance.
The Quinnipiac poll of over 1,250 registered voters notes 27 percent have no opinion on either Bob Casey or Pat Toomey.
Those who do generally like what the two men are doing in Washington. Tim Malloy, the assistant poll director says, "First-term Senator Pat Toomey has a 45-28 percent approval rating."
The Republican from the Lehigh Valley is in his 6th month in the Senate. Democrat Bob Casey, in his 5th year, enjoys an approval rating of 47-26.
In considering his likely bid for a second term next year, the Scranton Democrat beats an unnamed Republican 47-32 because no one has seriously suggested a run against Casey, yet.
