Pennsylvania Man Pleads Guilty In Cocaine Smuggling Conspiracy
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty in a conspiracy to smuggle cocaine and heroin into the United State from Panama.
Twenty-five-year-old Roumik Banerjee of Kennett Square, Pa., entered the plea on Tuesday. He faces a minimum of ten years in prison at sentencing Sept. 13.
At a change of plea hearing, Banerjee admitted traveling four times to Panama to bring back cocaine and heroin. He admitted to smuggling 3.5 kilograms of cocaine and 4 kilograms of heroin.
