Pennsylvania Man, 84, Gets Prison Term For Raping Girl
INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — An 84-year-old Pennsylvania man will spend up to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting and raping a teenage girl over a three-year period, beginning when she was 13.
Ralph Duncan, of Brush Valley, has been sentenced to eight to 30 years in prison by an Indiana County judge for that case and for intimidating a 10-year-old boy who had accused Duncan's 31-year-old son of molesting him.
Duncan was sentenced Monday.
His 35-year-old wife, Katherine Duncan, allegedly knew about the assaults against the girl and aided in them. She's awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy to commit rape, indecent assault and endangering the welfare of children.
Police say Ralph Duncan's victim used Facebook to tell a friend about the incidents. Police arrested the Duncans in May 2012 after an investigation confirmed the sex had occurred.
