Proposed bill in PA state senate would require drivers to pay turnpike fees before registering car
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There's a new push to get toll evaders on the Pennsylvania turnpike to pay up. A bill in the state senate would require drivers to be paid up on their turnpike fees before registering a car.
Another plan would garnish tax refunds or lottery winnings to cover outstanding tolls. The sponsors say it's impossible to get some drivers to pay their fees otherwise
The sponsors say they hope the plans pass sometime during the 2023 session.
