Penn Takes To Road; Visits Harvard, Dartmouth In Ivy Action
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's a weekend in New England for the Penn Quakers as they continue with Ivy League play by paying visits to Harvard and Dartmouth.
The Quakers are 5-17 on the season, 2-3 in the Ivy league. Last time out they hammered Brown, 71-48, at the Palestra on Saturday, in what was probably their best game of the season.
"I would say so," Penn head coach Jerome Allen tells KYW Newsradio. "I think primarily defensively. For us, I think that's how we have to play. I think we have to exhaust ourselves on the defensive end and, make or miss shots, if we play that way, I think we'll give ourselves an opportunity to win."

Junior guard Miles Cartwright had his best performance of the season in that win over Brown, pouring in 28 points, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out five assists.
This weekend starts with Harvard on Friday night. The Crimson sit at 13-7 and they currently set the pace with a 5-1 mark in the Ivy League.
"They play hard, they defend, they share the ball," Allen says. "They keep it simple, they spread you out, attack. For us it's going to be a challenge. I think it's a challenge any time you go on the road in college basketball, but more so because they don't beat themselves."
Harvard is very tough at home. They have won 9 of 10 games in Cambridge this season.
Saturday's opponent Dartmouth is 6-14 this season and 2-4 in the Ivy League.
Penn has made this trip 56 times. 34 times they have swept the two games, 17 times they have split these two match-ups and only five times have they lost both games.
Both Friday night's game at Harvard and Saturday's game at Dartmouth will tip-off at 7:00pm.
