Penn State University Kicks Off THON Dance Marathon
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (CBS) -- Students at Penn State are dancing the weekend away for a good cause. They're in the middle of a 46-hour dance marathon, better known as "THON."
The marathon raises money to help children battling cancer.
It's the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.
Last year's THON brought in more than $10.5 million.
