Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Philadelphia Bound NJT Train

GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. (CBS) - Both Galloway Township and New Jersey Transit police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in Galloway, Atlantic County that occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday night.
The mishap took place along the south Genoa Avenue railroad track area not far from Atlantic City International Airport.
Police say a woman pedestrian, who was trespassing and walking on the tracks, was struck by an Atlantic City to Philadelphia bound train.
Authorities report that the engineer used the emergency break and sounded the horn, but the train could not stop in time.
None of the 70 people aboard the train were injured.
The Atlantic County medical examiner pronounced the woman dead at the scene. No identity has been released.
The rail line has been suspended while police investigate.
