CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Rail service on Amtrak and SEPTA through Chester City was interrupted this morning when an AMTRAK train struck a person on the tracks.
It happened just before 10 a.m. near the Chester Transportation Center.
Amtrak says service was reduced from four lanes to 2-lanes to allow investigators into the scene.
SEPTA says two trains on the Wilmington-Newark line were cancelled and another was delayed 20-minutes.
An Amtrak spokesman says no passengers or crew were injured on the train.
Calls to Chester City Police on the status of the person who was truck went unanswered.
