Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Route 309 In Montgomery County
PHILADELPHIA CBS) -- Police are investigating a fatal accident that shut down a section of Route 309 in Montgomery County.
It happened around 5 a.m. Sunday when authorities say a car struck and killed a pedestrian in the northbound lanes of the highway near the exit to the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Fort Washington.
All of the northbound lanes were closed between Fort Washington and Highland Avenue for nearly three hours as a result of the crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
