State police said 65-year-old Gerald Martin of Philadelphia was the man struck by the rig in the northbound lanes of the interstate near the Allegheny Avenue exit ramp at about 11 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said Sunday they had located the tractor-trailer and the driver with the aid of police in Lumberton, N.J. The rig was towed back to Philadelphia, where the investigation continues.
