PATCO Returns To Full Service On Monday, But Not For Long

LINDENWOLD, NJ (CBS) -- Some good news for commuters who use the PATCO high speed line. Full service across the Ben Franklin Bridge returns on Monday, but don't get used to it.
Crews have completed replacing tracks on the south side of the span. So the round the clock delays of the past two months will be gone, sort of.
Fran O'Brien, a PATCO spokeswoman, says schedules return to what they were earlier this year, with delays Thursday evenings through Monday mornings for awhile.
"Then beginning on Thursday, August 28th, that north track will close for rehabilitation for 50 days and we anticipate that that track will be returned to service in mid-October."
SEPTA has its own track work on subway surface routes 10, 11, 13, 34 and 36 for the next couple of weeks, ending their runs into center city at 40th and Market. Riders will transfer to the Market-Frankford line.
