Pastor Pays Tribute To Building Collapse Victim

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One of the victims who lost their life during last week's Center City building collapse was 68-year-old Borbor Davis, an employee at the Salvation Army thrift store.
Borbor Davis was a husband and father. He was born in Liberia, but lived in Darby Borough and worshiped at Faith Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lansdowne. The church's pastor, Moses Dennis, remembers him fondly as a soft spoken man who cared for those around him:
"He loved his wife, he loved his family, he loved his church, he loved his job."
That job was at the Salvation Army thrift store at 22nd and Market, where he died. Dennis says the Davis family is angry, saying this loss of life and the deaths of five others could have been prevented. Instead, they had to plan his funeral.
"His life in this world has ended, but his story does not end there," Dennis said.
Services are set to take place Friday June 21st at Faith Immanuel, with burial the next day.
